Carlie is our youngest child of two. She was born in March of 2009. She is a free spirit, always happy, always looking for attention, and a great little sister.

You might be wondering who is Carlie’s Hero. He is our only son. He was born in March of 2005. He is an amazing little guy, the light of our lives. Although he cannot verbally express his feelings, he shows us through his actions and his never-ending smiles. He loves his little sister to pieces and is a great, big brother. His name is Zachary…Zachary has Autism…Zachary is Carlie’s Hero.

It is our hope that through this web site we are able to raise awareness through our autism speciality store. Every bit of profit will go directly into a trust for Zachary. Our goal is to be able to get Zachary the one-to-one daily therapy he needs in addition to the specialized, specific academic instruction he so deserves. This can all happen at the Jacksonville School for Autism, a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) private school. He has shown us how far he can come with in-home therapy once a week, (which he has since lost due to insurance reasons.) We can only imagine how far he could come if he’s given the chance! However, this will cost a lot of money, money we are trying to raise via this site and various fundraisers.

In addition, we hope that we might be able to share experiences with others who are traveling the same road on the Autism Spectrum Disorder through our free online autism support group. Autism is still quite the mystery. If we can spread more awareness and continue to share ideas and experiences, together, we might be able to put some of the pieces together.
